Grayson's Birth

This was a special shoot for me because I was asked to capture the special and intimate occasion of Grayson's birth. Since I work as a NICU nurse, labor and delivery is something I am exposed to on a daily basis, but this one was special because it was my best friend! While I edited many of these in color, I feel the black and white images truly take you back to the moment and day that Grayson finally arrived! So for this blog post, all images are in black and white! I love that I got to take a part in this wonderful story.

My Best Friend is having a BABY

I was so excited about taking these pictures on the beach. It's not something I get to do very often! Leslie and I had planned on taking these in Boone, but it just so happened that we ended up at the coast for the same week and we decided to go for it. We started early that morning so we had time to play and shop the rest of the day. I absolutely love how these turned out and I finished editing them only a day before Grayson's arrival!
